Wedding Shot Glasses
As a single guy, sometimes it can be difficult finding just the right gift for a buddy that’s getting married. Wedding shot glasses are a pretty popular gift. Typically they are personalized with the bride and grooms name on them along with the date of the wedding. That’s all well and good, but you know they’re going to end up tossed into some random box and stored away by the wife once they’re all moved in together.
Why not spend a few extra bucks and get something tasteful. Personalized glassware, when done right, can be a thoughtful and practical gift. Your buddy will appreciate it, and his wife will too. Women love things that commemorate their wedding day. So do it with something that both of them will be proud to display in their house.
Go to Amazon.com and browse through their available shot glasses. Don’t bother searching for customized or personalized shot glasses. It’s hard to find any at all that are actually nice glasses to begin with. And avoid all the cheap garbage that’s out there. Remember, you want something that she’s going to like as well. An easy way to do this is to set your search criteria for prices between $50 and $150. You’ll find this search filter on the left hand side of the site at Amazon.com. This will ensure that you’re looking at the good stuff. You’ll still get some results for cheaper stuff in bulk, but just flip through a couple of the pages until you find something that looks classy.
A good shot glass should have clean lines and a solid weight to it. You can choose something that is either short and stout looking, or maybe taller and more elegant. Vodka and tequila shot glasses tend to be tall and slender and make an excellent gift. Just choose something that you think the couple will like. Once you find something that you think will work, go ahead and place you order.
Once you have received your shot glasses, the next step is to get them etched. You should be able to find a glass etcher in your area by searching for one on Google. OK, the next step is important so pay attention. More than likely you received a save the date, or possibly a wedding invitation. If you haven’t thrown it away already, you’ve got the perfect idea for what to have etched into your glasses.
Most brides pick a font, colors, and even a logo type design for their wedding. You want to reference the invitation or save the date to find this. Then have the glass etcher include this in part of design of your glasses. Remember that subtlty is key here. You don’t want to fill the glasses with words, that’s just tacky. So perhaps include the logo/design of the wedding and the date. You could also include their initials if you like. But forgo any sort of message.
If you do this right, you’ll have found a gift that your buddy will like. What guy doesn’t like shot glasses? But in addition, his bride will love it too. So if you’re struggling for that perfect wedding gift, take a look at doing some classy wedding shot glasses.
